SEEME Scotland

www.seemescotland.org.uk

The 'see me' campaign was launched in October 2002 to challenge stigma and discrimination around mental ill-health in Scotland. The campaign is run by an alliance of five Scottish mental health organisations: Highland Users Group (HUG) (Opens in new window); National Schizophrenia Fellowship (Scotland) (Opens in new window); Penumbra (Opens in new window); the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Scottish Division) (Opens in new window) and the Scottish Association for Mental Health. (Opens in new window)

The campaign combines an award-winning national publicity programme with local and national anti-stigma action developed in partnership with like-minded groups and individuals across all sectors of Scottish life. Individuals who have experienced stigma are involved in many aspects of the campaign, and includes those prepared to talk to the media about the impact stigma has had on their lives.

Coaching Highland

www.coachinghighland.co.uk

Coaching Highland was originally set up as Gael Force Ten in May 1995 to develop sports coaches in the Highlands of Scotland across ten sports at any one time. Our primary aims are to develop coaches and talented junior athletes:

1. Improve the quality and quantity of sports coaches in the Highlands.
2. Provide progressive opportunities for young people to participate in sport at all levels.

Most of our website is only available to registered members and we are delighted that registration is free and simply a case of completing an online form – our intention is to grow an online community of sports coaches in the Highlands allowing you to communicate with other coaches and to be kept informed of news, courses and resources available to you.

Forestry Commission

www.forestry.gov.uk

We deliver the practical programmes to make sure that, as communities and individuals, we can get the most from them.

We are constantly looking for ways to share our knowledge, plan activities and develop new initiatives to provide benefits for the economy and for our health and wellbeing. We work with a whole range of partners from private sector landowners to sports clubs, local communities to national businesses, on a whole host of recreation, regeneration and educational schemes.

Our responsibilities span research, commercial timber production, sustainability programmes and policy, as well as learning and leisure. Our goal is always to ensure that, at a practical level, Britain can use its forests to contribute positively to as many of the nation's needs as we can while sustaining this geat resource for the future.

Chewonthis

www.chewonthis.org.uk

The Chewonthis website is designed for independent use by community or secondary school age young people in groups .The website will also be useful to anyone who is interested in how our food is produced and its effect on our health and the environment.

The website is produced by The Food Commission Research Charity, a non government organisation that is totally independent of the food industry.

As we encourage children, young people and parents to think more about their food choices through our School Nutrition Action groups and across the curriculum we also ask people to consider making ethical food choices and try to think about how ‘honest’ food labelling.
